HIBBETT, Dr. Lester Lee, 86, of Temple Terrace, FL, formerly of Florence, AL, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012, after a lengthy illness, at home sur-rounded by his family. Dr. Hibbett was a faithful member of the University Church of Christ, a graduate of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine, and a US Navy veteran of WWII. He practiced medicine for over 35 years in the Florence area. He was a devoted husband to Elaine, his wife of 65 years and a loving father to his four daughters, Susan, Ann, Beth and Emily. He cherished his 11 grand-children and 5 great-grand-children. He spent his life serving God, his family and his friends. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his daughters, Susan Crowell and husband Jerry of Florence, Ann Fox and husband John, Beth Moorer and husband Kenny, Emily Sullivan and husband Damon, all of Temple Terrace, Fla.; eleven grandchildren, Daniel (Randi) Fox, Matthew (Sarah) Fox, Chip Crowell, Jason Crowell, Jonathan Fox, Andrew Sullivan, Samuel Moorer, Jenny Moorer, Kory Sullivan, Bradley Moorer, Jake Sullivan; and five great-grandchildren, Ellie Fox, Campbell Fox, Luke Fox, Reese Fox and Grayson Fox. He is survived by 4 brothers, George (Martha) Hibbett, Ike (Barbara) Hibbett, Eugene (Jackie) Hibbett, Jim Hibbett; two sister-in-laws, Ann Hibbett and Betty Hibbett; one brother-in-law, Grady Threet; and many wonderful nieces and nephews whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ann Hibbett; his step mother, Jean Hibbett; and two brothers, Rufus and Barry. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence, AL. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Greenview Cemetery.
