GRIFFIN, Lois (Diehl), 67, lost her battle with cancer and passed away to be with the Lord Dec. 24, 2012 at the LifePath hospice house in Temple Terrace, Fla. Lois was born in Norfolk, Va. to the late John and Dorothy Diehl on October 16, 1945. Lois is survived by her husband, Robert Griffin, daughter Genoa Griffin Fedyszyn, son-in-law, Todd Fedyszyn; brother, Roy Diehl and many other friends and family. In 1978, Lois and Robert sailed to the Tampa Bay area in Florida where they made it their permanent home. Lois worked for the City of Tampa as a Computer Systems Analyst until retiring in 2010. The activity Lois enjoyed most was sailing, followed by theme park rides, scary movies, shopping, as well as being with friends and family. She had a great love for reading, had an adventurous spirit (always up for a challenge). Lois exhibited great courage in her fight with cancer. She was a very caring person and did not have one mean-spirited bone in her body. She had a great love for animals, especially dolphins and boston terriers. She was of Lutheran faith. Lois chose to be cremated with her ashes being spread in Tampa Bay to sail on forever. Remembrance to be held at 1:30 p.m., January 27 at the Davis Island Yacht Club.
