PANSIUS, Louis William, 82, loving and loved husband , father and friend, of Highlands Ridge, Avon Park, FL, made his transition on June 26, 2013. Lou moved to Florida 13 years ago after residing in Old Lyme, CT for 42 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a contracts inspector from the Submarine Base, New London, CT. He enjoyed life, and loved spending time with family and friends, building things with wood, playing golf, cards, travel and sampling various restaurants. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Amelia Williamson Pansius and Louis Pansius. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy, son Robert and wife Terri Pansius, daughter Susan and husband Jeffrey Brozdowski, son Odie Pansius and significant other Karen McDonough, daughter Linda Cummings, son Peter Pansius, and close buddy Norm Guay. Lou is also survived by his granddaughter Michelle, her husband Ryan Pellegrini and great granddaughter Aubrey, granddaughter Erika and husband Mathew Pafford and great grandson Jackson, and grandson Benjamin. Lou is also survived by his sister Amelia and her husband James Niehoff. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
