Marion Hagans Obituary

HAGANS, Marion Hofmann, originally from upstate New York, began a new journey beyond our reach Saturday, Septem-ber 19, 2009. She was a naturally loving and inspiring mother of four, Todd, Gayla, Renee' and Kimberly. Marion undoubtedly embraced her independence as an avid naturist, world traveler, motorcycle enthusiast and free spirit. She was blessed with a full life of family, friends and adventure. Her energy had the ability to transform one' s soul, leaving a strong desire to create a life of purpose and excitement. Marion' s merry way lit up the lives of many, including her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her youthful zest made it hard for others to keep up, even with no clothing to weigh them down. She welcomed new experiences, was a member of several charities and organizations, and had a passion for entertaining. Among her parties were family celebrations, holiday gatherings, women' s retreats, and singles weekends. Marion' s strength and compassion attributed to over 50 years of success as a nurse for labor and delivery, the U.S. Army Reserves, and hospice. "To 69 fabulous years! We will carry your love always."

Marion was never a shrinking violet. In addition to her family, which she loved, she had motorcycles and clowns as hobbies. I met her in Orlando when she was attending a clown convention.
All her many friends will miss her.

Aunt Marion lived every day as if it was a great adventure. She was a caring sister, a loving mother, a friend to many, and my quirky aunt! I will miss her!

September 28, 2009

I never met Marion, but through conversation with her daughter Gayla, knew she was the glue to a very close-knit family. not only was she an inspiration to her, but also her best friend. I hope all the fond memories and the warmth she leaves in the hearts of her family can sustain them through this heartache. I also hope the family can feel joy in knowing that their mom is now a celestial free-spirit happily roaming the heavens. God bless you all, Patty Syraski

Dear Todd, Gayla, Renee and Kimberly,
We are so sad to hear of your Mom's passing. We don't know how to get in touch with you, since we went in different directions of life and you are all probably scattered and married. Know that we thought many times of your Mom's infectious laugh and the good times we had

It is a big loss to us now that Marion is gone but I guess she had to take a different journey. She always had a big smile for Michele and Glenn Meyer
