ROBERTS, Matthew Christopher Laszlo, 23, of Temple Terrace, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 10, 2013. Born in Naples, Italy on March 20, 1990, he was lovingly adopted by Don and Carolyn Roberts. Matthew attended Corpus Christi Catholic School, Jesuit, King High School and Hillsborough Community College. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Archie and Carol Lashford of Texarkana, Texas. Matthew was a free spirit, a gourmet cook, a composer and musician, an Eagle Scout who earned three Silver Palms, but most of all he was a good friend and gentle soul who touched more lives in his short time on earth than we will ever know. He loved playing video games, going to the beach, and hanging out with his friends. Matt was taken from his family and friends much too soon, but we can take comfort in knowing that he is at peace in the arms of a loving God. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday, 14 July at Blount & Curry Funeral Home on 56th St in Temple Terrace. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Monday, 15 July at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Temple Terrace, followed by interment in Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humane Society, The Boy Scouts of America, or St Vincent de Paul Society. Words of comfort may be expressed at blountcurryterraceoaks.com.
