AMBURN, Naomi Marguerite, 101, passed away in Sebring, Florida, on June 24, 2012. She was born on April 26, 1911, in Indianapolis to Herman and Alma Rodewald. In 1950, she married Carl Amburn and they moved to Alaska. It was there that their son, David, was born in 1951. Unfortunately, Carl passed away very suddenly in 1952. Marguerite and David moved back to Indianapolis, and she became an accountant with the Shell Oil Company. She retired from Shell Oil and became interested in Cake Create, where she was known for baking great and tasty cakes. She was recognized at the Cake Create Convention for her creative designs. Marguerite moved to Florida eight years ago to join her son, David. David passed away in March 2011. She is survived by many nieces; nephews; and her wonderful caretaker, Bonita Burch. A memorial service will be held at Shirley Brothers Mortuary, located at 9606 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, June 30, 2012, with calling at 9:00 a.m. and the service at 10:00 a.m. The burial will follow immediately at Washington Park East Cemetery.
