Nina Harmon Obituary

HARMON, Nina N., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was born in Poland and moved to

Germany when she was 17. Her daughter, Janina K. Gray, was born in Germany. In 1949, Nina and her daughter moved to Cooperstown, N.Y., where they stayed until 1956, when they moved to Florida. It was in Florida that Nina met and married Page Harmon who predeceased her in 2010. Nina traveled all over the world, but called the house known as "Bella Vista" on the Withlacoochee River her home. To her grand-children, Heather Gray Womack, Tanya Gray Cadwell and Daniel Edward Gray, she was known as Gramese. Nina lived a full life, earning a nursing degree and graduating with honors and becoming a real estate agent, where she expressed her love in buying land and building homes. In addition to speaking her native language of Polish, she spoke six other languages. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Nina will be buried at Townsend House Cemetery.
