LIPKA, Paul B., beloved husband and father, died Saturday afternoon March 15, 2014. Paul has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 13 years. He was 84. Paul was born June 28, 1929, in Indiana, one of eight children of Ms. Frances and George Lipka of East Chicago. After high school Paul joined the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Paul retired after 20 years from for the US Government working in different departments. He was a member of the New Life Anglican Church. Paul enjoyed fishing and doing taxidermy work. Paul is survived by his beloved wife Lois Jane Whitehead whom he wed June 11, 1957, in Indiana. He is also survived by his children, John M. Lipka MD, Karen Whitaker (Bill), Amy Cobb; 5 grandchildren and he was blessed with a great grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter Ruth Anne and 6 siblings. The family will have a private memorial service at the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. Pastor Susan Rhodes will celebrate. Memorial arrangements are under the loving devotion of MICHAEL A.
