MARCET, Ramona Francisca (Perales), 94, of Tampa, died peacefully on November 21, 2012, at Tampa General Hospital under the excellent care of her doctors and nurses, surrounded by her family. Born in Aguada de Pasajeros, Las Villas Province, Cuba, October 10, 1918, to Evaristo S. Perales and Juana Martinez, she left her homeland in 1960 and moved to Tampa in 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique M. Marcet, sons Enrique R. ("Henry") Marcet and Miguel E. ("Michael") Marcet, and all of her seven siblings. She is survived by her children, Maria Carmen M. Hernandez (Gil), Maria Elena Marcet, and Jorge E. Marcet, MD (Joanne), all of the Tampa Bay area. She is also survived by grand-children, Henry M. Marcet, PhD., Marcus M. Marcet, MD, Jennifer Ralston, Steven M. Marcet, MD, Martin J. Hernandez, Esq., David J. Hernandez, MD, Alina Marcet, Thomas J. Hernandez, Daniel J. Marcet, Kristen Marcet, and Paul A. Marcet; and great-grandchildren, Regan, Jacob, Andrew, Dylan, Steven, Lucas J., William, Emma, Margaux, Lucas L., and Helina, and loving nephews and nieces. Ramona was married to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Enrique M. Marcet, for sixty six years plus a ten-year courtship - they were a model of a marriage. Mrs. Marcet had been a primary education teacher in Cuba before starting her life as a wife and mother. Mrs. Marcet was socially involved in a number of associations, most notably Francis House and Club 15. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in the Memory of Ramona P. Marcet, to Francis House, 4703 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33603-3734. At her request, there will be no viewing. A Funeral mass will be offered for the repose of her soul, Saturday morning, November 24, at 11 o'clock at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3012 W. Cherry Street, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to mass at church. Private interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
