LANE, Robert "Bobby" A., 61, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in Houston, Texas. He was the husband of Gwendolyn (Royal) Lane. He was a lifetime resident of Brooksville. Born in Tampa, Florida, he was a son of Earl and Marjorie (Brown) Lane. He was a heavy equipment diesel mechanic and worked on repairing heavy construction machinery. He was an avid hunter and loved horses. In his youth, he worked on the family dairy farm, Lane's Diary Farm, Spring Lake, Brooksville. He spent many years as an area baseball and football coach for the youth leagues. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Gwen and his children: daughter, Tina Lane Davis of Ocala; son, Robert Scott Lane and his wife Tracey of Brooksville; daughter, Anna-Marie Greenfield of Florida and step sons: Chuck Hart of Brooksville; Jason Hart and wife Dawn of Azores, Portugal and B.J. Hart and wife Jessica of Brooksville. He is the grandfather of 12. He is also survived by his Mother-In-Law, Sylvia Royal Rorabacher of Brooksville and brothers: Edward Lane of Nashville, TN; William Lane of Brooksville and Donald Lane of Lecanto, FL, and sister: Jeanette Lane Graham of Tampa. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, September 28, at 2:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, 504 E. Jefferson Street, Brooksville, FL, with the Deacon Rick Wells. Friends may call Thursday from 4PM to 7PM at the funeral home. Through this organization Bobby was able to save two lives through the donation of his kidneys for transplant.
