KING, Robert "Bruce", 91, of Tampa, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2013. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who dedicated his life to his family, and was devoted to his Lord and Savior. He proudly served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Affectionately known as "R.B." he worked for and retired from Tampa Electric Company after 42 years of dedicated and loyal service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years; Margaret R. King and his sister; Jean Frey and is survived by his children; Jim Fanning (MaryAnn), Bruce King Jr. (Ginger), Gerald Fanning (Judy), Sharon Youngblood, Lee King (Kandee), Marilyn Brimmer (Don), sisters; Margaret Hannaway, Barbara Petralia, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Thursday May 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM with burial at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to; Barbara and her daughter Cynthia Walker for their kindness, compassion and loving devotion to our father. In addition the family would also extend their eternal gratitude to Lee and his wife Kandee for the love and support they bestowed upon Dad.
