Thomas Langstine Obituary



LANGSTINE, Thomas Harry, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Sebring, Fla. He was born in

Elmira, N.Y., to Francis and Ethel (Warren) Langstine. Mr. Langstine was a heavy equipment operator, member of the Eagles, he served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II, he was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and had been a resident of Avon Park, Fla., since 1984, coming from Elmira. He is survived by his sons, Thomas M. Langstine (Diana) of Livingston, Texas, James E. Langstine (Sandra) of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Lawrence R. Langstine (Carole) of Elmira Heights, N.Y; brother, Francis Langstine of Elmira; brother-in-law, Howard Coddington (Mary Ann) of Winter Haven, Fla.; sister-in-law, Elinor Gough (John) of Horseheads, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Langstine was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Dorothy J. Langstine; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will take place at

11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4418 Sun N Lake Blvd., Sebring, FL 33872. Stephenson-Nelson
