Thomas Schroeder Obituary

SCHROEDER, Thomas R., 86, of Avon Park, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Sebring, Fla. He

was born May 23, 1925, to Richard and Selma (Altenberger) Schroeder in Lima, Ohio, and had been a winter resident of Avon Park for 19 years before becoming a permanent resident four years ago, coming from Lima. He was an engineer for state government; a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Lima and was a Deacon at Lake Bonnett Fellowship Church in Avon Park. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of Royal Arch Masons Fort Amanda Masonic Lodge 706 in Lima, attended Masonic Lodge in Avon Park and was a member of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Doris June Schroeder of Avon Park; daughter, Suzanne (Dr. David) Marks of Carmel, Ind.; son, Thomas R. (Beverly) Schroeder II of Miami, Fla.; half sister, Judith Schroeder of Lima; eight grand-children; and two great-grandchildren. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
