CLEMONS, Vernon Dale, 78 of Tampa, Florida passed away Wed., January 9, 2013. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Vernon E. and May L. Clemons and sister, Shirley Delk. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Reva Nell Clemons (Lynch); two sons, Dale Eugene Clemons of Louisville, Kentucky and Vernon Byron Clemons of Plant City, Fla.; three daughters, Laurie Morelli of Lutz, Christine Delk of Tampa and Charlotte Hagaman of Odessa, Fla; two brothers, Wade Clemons of Clinton, Tenn., and Dennis Clemons of Canton, Ga.; one sister, Geraldine Dorothy Alverson of Tampa; and numerous grandchildren. Dale was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and served in the U.S. Army and National Guard Reserves. He took over ownership of family business, Clemons Septic Service of Tampa and retired in 2003. Dale will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and avid Gator fan. The family will receive friends 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, at First Baptist of Citrus Park, 7705 Gunn Hwy., Tampa. With funeral services at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with full military honors.
