NASH, Mary Clewis Thompson, 92, of Tampa, passed away April 6, 2014. A native of Tampa, she graduated from Hills-borough High School in January 1940 and the Business University of Tampa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George U. Nash; her parents Nannie Clewis and Robert H. Thompson, Sr., her brother Robert H. Thompson, Jr. and Dr. John M. Thompson. She is survived by her son, Donald A. Nash and wife Marie of Orlando; her daughter, Georganne N. Baker and her husband Derek W. of Brooksville; three grandchildren, Kelly Baker DeVore and husband Brian, Kristen L. Baker Ruiz and husband Larry of Pueblo, CO, Derek Brett Baker and four great-grandchildren Bailey A., Tyler A., and Emmy E. DeVore, of Wesley Chapel, and Lalani L. Ruiz of Pueblo. She is also survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Thompson of St. Petersburg and several nieces and nephews. Mary retired from Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1984 and was an active member of Bayshore Baptist Church. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home and a memorial service on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1pm at Bayshore Baptist Church.
