HALVERSON, Steven "Blake," 24, of Tampa, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 21, 2009. Blake was a three-time letterman in the Youngs-town State University football program, graduating in 2007. However, Blake' s biggest accomplishment was the number of lives he touched. His contagious love for life was a gift and a blessing to all who knew him. In Jesus Christ there are no goodbyes. Blake is survived by his parents, Steve and Rose Halverson; sister, Ashley Halverson (Joe Abdo); niece, Layla Abdo; grandparents, Jerry and Lois Halverson, Nancy Halverson, and Joseph Bauduin; and great-grand-mother, Rose Contraguerro. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Contraguerro Bauduin. Friends will be received 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Brett Funeral Home, 4810 Central Ave., St Petersburg, Fla. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel at Keswick Christian School, 10101 54th Ave. N., St Petersburg, Fla., with reception to follow. Additional services will take place in Wheeling, W.Va., sometime the week of January 4, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Blake Halverson Memorial Fund at Keswick Christian School. An online memorial and guestbook may be seen at www.brettfuneralhome.net
