PODMORE, Harry Thomas, of Sebring, formerly of Ohio and Kentucky, passed away October 1, 2012. He was born in East Liverpool, OH, on 12/28/1924, son of the late William and Grace. Harry joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 17 and served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Eaton Corp and moved to Florida, where he enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gilda; brothers, James and Gene; and son-in-law, David Whitt. Harry is survived by his loving family: wife, Betty; daughters, Cindy (Paul), Lorrie (Ray), and Gail; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, October 6, at St. John United Methodist Church of Sebring, 3214 Grand Prix Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to Good Shepherd Hospice.
