SHEAROUSE, Carrie Edna, 96, went to her heavenly home November 12, 2012. She was born in Millen, Ga. and was raised in Statesboro, Ga. Carrie Edna was a prior member of the First Baptist Church of Tampa, where she taught five year olds for many years. Since 1963, she has been a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, where she served as their first Kindergarten Director. She was a Docent at Cracker Country at the Florida State Fairgrounds and member of the SilverTones Choir. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Aden and Idell Flanders; husband, Bill Shearouse; brother, Donald Flanders; and sister, Imogene Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Pickern; sister, Dorothy Prosser; great-grandson of her heart, Hunter Ginn; and an extended loving family and friends. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Brandon. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
