BELLI, Vahit, M.D., was born on March 21, 1927, in Merzifon, Turkey and passed away on New Year's Eve, 2012 in Brandon, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abdullah and Habibe Belli; brothers, Cahit, Nevzat; and sister, Suheyla Belli. He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-four years, Jacalyn Lee Almand Belli, a native of Tampa, Fla.; their children, Randy V. Belli, Yener V. Belli, Dr. Erol V. Belli, his wife, Kathryn Belli and their children, Ayden and Owen Belli. Others include his brothers, Vedat, Nihat and Nafiz Belli; nephews, Cem and Arman Belli; nieces, Pinar Yalgin, Gamze Belli King, husband Steve and their daughter, Katya; brothers-in-law, H.A. Almand, III, wife Jeanne, John S. Almand, wife Judith; sisters-in law, Sue Almand Rice, husband Thomas, Eve Almand Ligori, husband Joe, Ruth Almand Clark, husband Wayne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins and many dear friends and colleagues. Dr. Belli devoted his life to his family, to his patients, and to his medical research. He was a kind and gentle man, a healer, in every sense of the word. He was loved truly and will be missed deeply. The Belli family would like to thank his life-long friend and physician Dr. Rathinam Moorthy for his loving care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 4 at 3:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Hopewell Memorial Gardens, Plant City. The pallbearers will be Thomas H. Rice, Jr., Dr. John H. Ligori, J. Scott Almand, Jr., H.A. Almand, IV, James W. Rice, J.
