RICE, William Lankford, 94 of Durant, Florida, went to be with his beloved wife and his Lord on January 19, 2013. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII in the Rhineland Campaign with the 301st Infantry Regiment, and a member of Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Kate Rice, and daughter Brenda Hatfield. He is survived by his children, Larry Rice, Linda Gunn (Bob), Roger Rice, and Glenda Frederick (Larry); son-in-law, Jim Hatfield; brother, Vernon Rice; and 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City; where a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Plant City.
