VANN, Milton B., 96 of Tampa, died January 24, 2013. Born July 14, 1916 in Blountstown, Fla., Mr. Vann proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and retired from Hillsborough County Schools. He was a member, former deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Lutz. His survivors include his wife, Sara; son, Jimmie Vann (Brenda); daughter, Marilyn Mathews (Larry); five grandchildren, Jason and John Vann, and Melissa, Olivia and Zachery Mathews; two great grandchildren, Mariah and Savannah Vann; beloved nieces and nephews, as well as, many friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Lutz. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, 1015 Sikes Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33815 or www.fbchomes.org, in Mr. Vann's memory.
