PRADO, Ida V., of Tampa, Florida, 103 years old, passed away peacefully on February 1 2013 with her family by her side. Born in Key West and a native Floridian she led a very active and fulfilling life and will always be remembered for her business, Ida's Beauty Salon. Survived by her two daughters, Carmen Bernstein (Howie) and Margo Massari (Frank); five grandchildren, Johnny Fernandez (Kim), Kenny Fernandez (Vanessa), Larry Bernstein, Daryl Bernstein (Lauren), Karla Wagner (Doug), seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Allison and John Morgan Fernandez, Blake Bernstein, Paul, Carly and Jessica Wagner; niece, Linda Valdez; nephews, Richard (Ann), Danny (Liz), and Robert Valdez; dear friends Cecelia Fagoh and Anna Moy. She was a beloved and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. With a zest for life equaled by few, Ida touched the lives of so many through her compassionate nature and spirit of generosity. She was a beautician for over 70 years, enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. She was an extraordinary woman, an outstanding citizen, and served her community graciously. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A private mass for the family was held on February 5th at Christ the King Catholic Church and she was laid to rest at Garden of Memories beside her beloved husband, Benny.
