SUMNER, James "Jimmy", 76 of Baldwin, Ga., formerly of Dade City, passed away February 17, 2013 following an extended illness. He was born March 4, 1936 in Dade City to the late Robert L. and Dessie Lee Poston Sumner. He was an entrepreneur having spent much of his career in real estate sales. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sumner is proceeded in death by daughters Diane Elaine Sumner and Amy Josephine Sumner, and brother Robert Dennis Sumner. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Elsie McKinstry Sumner of Baldwin; sons: James Scott Sumner of Tampa, Fla., Kevin Dean Sumner (Stacey) and Louis Todd Sumner (Beverly) of Dade City, Fla., Gregory Chadwick Sumner (Leslie) of Snellville, Ga., and daughter Kristine Sumner Gaffney (John) of Atlanta, Ga. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Christopher Sumner, Cody Sumner, Trent Sumner, Ryan Sumner, Sarah Sumner, Laurel Sumner, Ally Sumner, Grant Gaffney, Ian Gaffney, as well as sister Betty Sumner Filley of Dade City, Fla. Funeral services will take place 3pm Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Dade City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the mausoleum.
