KACZMAREK, Leonard J., 89, born in Milwaukee on June 30, 1923, passed away peacefully, his family with him, on March 22, 2013. A Navy veteran, having served in the Pacific and the Atlantic in WW II, aboard the USS Augusta and the USS Canberra, he was always proud to relate his presence at the secret Roosevelt-Churchill meeting aboard the Augusta. Upon discharge, Leonard began his lifelong career in management with the Schlitz Brewing Company, and was among those opening the Tampa Schlitz Brewery in 1959. Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Jane, his daughter, Sandra Fuentes (Larry); his son, Gary Kaczmarek (Cathy); his beloved grandchildren, Jeffrey Fuentes (Kirby), Steven Fuentes, and Ann Fuentes, and his precious great-grandson, Drew Fuentes, and soon to arrive great-granddaughter.
