NEYLAND, Marilyn Kappiris, 64, was called home suddenly by our Lord and Savior on June 20, 2013. She was pre-deceased by her parents Nick and Anita Kappiris. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Bill; children Stephanie Stuhlsatz (Tom) and Matthew; grandchildren Sophia and William; brother Stan (Erin); niece Anastasia Higginson (Brooks), nephew Nick Kappiris (Leslie), niece Bridgette Dosdourian and nephew Aram Dosdourian (Alicia). Marilyn was born in Baltimore, MD attending schools in Tampa and Baltimore and later attending the University of Tampa. She was a devoted member of the St. John Greek Orthodox Church where she served as a faithful choir member and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was an active community volunteer offering time and support to the Children's Cancer Center, Child Abuse Council, Easter Seal Guild (as past president), One Voice and the H.B. Plant Museum. She was the current vice president of the Southeastern Federation of Greek Orthodox Choirs and Musicians. Marilyn retired from Delta Air Lines after 15 years; and she was currently employed by the Law Firm of Danny Hernandez as a legal assistant. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Blount & Curry MacDill Chapel with a Trisiagion Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 24 beginning with Divine Liturgy at 9:15 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. and burial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Marilyn's vivacious personality will be remembered by many, many lifelong friends including her bunko and birthday groups.
