TURNER, James E., 67 passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmor F. and Etta Mae Turner; sister, Mary Lou Tidwell; brother, John Turner and sister, Linda Turner. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loretta of Seffner; his daughter, Andrea (Brian) Roberts of Brandon; grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Roberts; sister, Jane (Paul) Pusey of Georgetown, DE and Ruth (David) Donovan of Milford, DE; brother, Jerry Turner of CA and a large extended family. Jim was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Diebold, Inc. and the Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office. Jim was a devout Christian, who served the Lord in many capacities over the years including working in leadership, education and youth ministry. Jim loved spending time with his family, was an avid Rays fan and was dedicated to helping others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center or Christ the King Lutheran Church, Riverview, Fl. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family, but we gladly rejoice knowing he is in his eternal home. A visitation will take place at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Fl on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 6-7:30pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
