PEREYO, Irene Dyer, age 92, of Gainesville, died Friday, June 28, 2013, in the Harbor-chase facility, following a long illness. Mrs. Pereyo was born on September 24, 1920 in Avon Park, Florida, to the late Donald Lawton and Winifred Ellis Dyer. She lived in Avon Park for many years, before moving to Hollywood. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Hollywood. Mrs. Pereyo came to Gainesville in 2008. She was preceded in death by first husband, Mr. Glenn Leverette in 1978, and by her second husband, Mr. Raul Pereyo, in 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. (Gunnar) Paulson, of Gainesville; one son, Donald G. (Clare) Leverette, of Ft. Lauderdale; two granddaughters, Amy (Bobby) Bennett, of DeFuniak Springs, and Melissa (Jonathan) Dougherty, of Gainesville; six great grandchildren, Taylor Anne, Brittany, Brooke and Abby Bennett, and Gunnar and Grant Dougherty. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd St., with Dr..Craig Canton, pastor of Northwest Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park West. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York NY, 10001.
