PADGETT, Robert "Bob" M., 88, a lifelong resident of Tampa, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 25, 2013. Robert was a proud WWII Marine Corp Veteran who served in Iwo Jima. He was a communications supervisor with TECO, and retired after 37 years. He was a member for 59 years, and served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Lake Carroll Baptist Church. He was also an avid golfer. Robert was a kind and generous family man who loved the Lord and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Anna Lee Padgett. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ruth Padgett; three children, Deborah Webb (William "Jocko"), Stephen Padgett, and Mark Padgett (Brenda); two grandchildren, Nicole Farmer (Ellery) and Danielle Ball (Deric); two great grandchildren, Harlee Farmer and Daxton Ball; two sisters, Betty Tucker and Gloria Barnes (Bill); many nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Friday, August 30, 2013 at Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N Rome Ave, Tampa, FL 33612. Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Internment will be at 2:30 PM, Friday August 30, 2013, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL, 33513.
