BODLER, JR., Edward Mathias, 92, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 25th, 2013, at Florida Hospital. He was born on April 11th, 1921 in Elmhurst, Queens, New York. Edward married the love of his life, Gisela on October 4th, 1943. They had 4 daughters. He attended the New York High School of Music and Art. He served overseas in the Air Force during WWII. He was a resident of Temple Terrace for 57 years. He was employed by GTE Data Services as a graphic artist and retired in 1985. Edward was a member of The Florida Watercolor Society, the Brandon Arts League, and the Hyde Park Art Center. He enjoyed painting with acrylics, watercolors, and pastels, building, gardening, and his family. His kind spirit touched everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Edward will be remembered by his loving daughters, Karen Murman and husband Tom, Karla Bodler (deceased), Andrea Hastings, and Krista Silbiger and husband Jon; and their children: Priscilla Wissman, Edward O'Connell, Tommy Murman, Michael Bodler, Jamie Hastings, Karl Hastings and his wife Chenelle, Danielle Silbiger, Jonathan Silbiger, Jr., and 5 great grand-children. Predeceased in death by his loving wife Gisela. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Edward at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Terrace Oaks Chapel, on Friday August 30th from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
