TABB, George Garland, 70, of Dade City, died Monday, November 27, 2006, at home. He was a resident of this area since 1974, when he retired after 20 years service in the U.S. Marine Corps as a staff sergeant. He also was retired from Pasco County after serving 26 years in the surveying department. Survivors include his wife, Judy; his mother, Sally Zerby of Tallahassee; his children, Butch Tabb of Butte, Mont., Teresa Gregory of Zephyrhills, George Hiser of Tampa, Julie Sanchez of Tampa and Robert Tabb of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Annette Reeves of Tallahassee, M.O. Tabb of Cathedral City, Calif., and Billy Tabb of Jacksonville; a half sister, Kay Brooks of Gainesville; a half brother, Rusty Zerby of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; one great-grand-child; an aunt, Irene Vause of Panacea Springs, Fla.; and 22 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006, at the Fifth Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 11:15 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2006, at the funeral home, with Brother King officiating. Burial will follow, with full Marine military honors, at Florida National Cemetery.
