JOANNE SINTON Joanne Sinton, was born as Joanne Borkowski on May 29, 1954 in Danbury Connecticut, to parents Stanley and Dorothy Borkowski. Her spirit departed this earthly world on August 1, 2014 at Treasure Coast Hospice. After getting married to Paul Sinton in 1975, the newlyweds immediately moved to Stuart, Florida. She became a mother in 1979 to Melissa and again in 1982 to Michelle. Together Paul and Joanne owned Stylecraft Cabinets for numerous years. She eventually became a General Contractor and a Residential Contractor, and they operated Contemporary Homes by Sinton, Inc., which specialized in custom crafted homes. In the mid-90's, Joanne became a Registered Nurse and worked at Martin Memorial South. In the early 2000's, she utilized her Real Estate License and worked as a Realtor at Century 21 IRP Realty and lastly at Keller Williams of the Treasure Coast. She was a very savvy and successful business woman. Most important of all of her duties was to be a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She had recently lost her mother Dorothy Borkowski in April 2013 to pancreatic cancer. She had devoted 2 years of her life taking care of her mother, and even went so far as to move into her mother's house near the end of her mothers life. She LOVED to travel and did so often on cruises around the world. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, European History, Soft Rock and Country music, a good bargain, the beach, delectable cuisine (especially lobster), meditation and helping those in need. She is survived by her husband Paul Wayne Sinton, her sister Dianne Belford, her daughters Melissa Sinton Gall and Michelle Marie Sinton, and her grandchildren Kira and Gavin Gall. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday, August 9th at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, 950 SE Monterey Rd., Stuart, FL 34994. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with a reception immediately following from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Banquet Hall and Terrace. A committal service and burial will follow 1:30 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City. Joanne's final wishes were; for those who knew her to donate blood and to get necessary screening for cancer- especially Ovarian Cancer, also known as the "Silent Killer," the disease that so quickly and tragically took her life.

Rest in Peace, Joanne.
We were walking home from school when you told me what a certain four letter word meant.
I was dumbfounded and I didn't believe it.
I still laugh about it and think about you till this day.
Thank you, Duncan, for the flashback.

So very sad - Joanne was a wonderful childhood friend. My heart breaks for Paul, Melissa and Michelle, and her precious granddaughters. She had a huge heart and still had so much to contribute to this world. RIP Joanne.
