Michael Dennis Gelety Jr., 58, died May 4, 2013, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Fort Pierce. He was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and lived in Fort Pierce for 33 years, coming from his birthplace. He was the owner of Autoland, Florida Auto Pawn and Gelety Properties, with locations throughout the Treasure Coast. He served as a board member for Oculina Bank. Survivors include his wife of six years, Karen S. Gelety; stepdaughter, Amelia Champion of Orlando; stepson, Alex Champion of Fort Pierce; sisters, Linda Phelan of Hill Crest, N.Y., and Rosie Wood of Binghamton; and brothers, John Gelety of Bainbridge, N.Y., and Nicholas Gelety of Fort Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael D. and Rose Marie Gelety. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County at www.hsslc.org. Services: A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. May 14 at White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach.
