With permission, sharing my niece's poem...

Our outer shells shed like snake's skin,
Through the shadows of time, your true light shines in,
And back out again to light up a new way;
The new sun rises up with new rays, a new day!
As all the leaves fall, so falls the human heart,
Maybe it stumbles, maybe crumbles, maybe it's crushed from the start
I hope to show you, if that's the case, the love below you, within you, in space
It's just gravity that's holding me - I cannot be set free,
But if gravity would fly away, would you fly to me?
I miss you like the stars when the moon is not there,
I feel you in the wind, the rain, the air
My words just fall apart, but there is much I long to tell you,
So I'll scream them from my heart, since tragedy befell you
I send my love to you and pray to God you feel me,
It was thunder when you broke my soul, now only God can heal me
