Joseph Herman Park Sr.

Joseph Herman Park, Sr., 82, died Nov. 15, 2012, at his home in Vero Beach. He was born in Cleveland, Tenn., and lived in Vero Beach for 18 years, coming from his birthplace. He served in the Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired after 26 years as a lieutenant colonel. He owned and operated Park Electric in Cleveland from 1966 until his retirement in 1998. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Mary Jo Park of Vero Beach; sons, David Park of Bradenton and Joe Park of Cleveland, Tenn.; daughters, Debbie Payne of Toccoa, Ga., and Jane Abbott of Ringgold, Ga.; stepdaughter, Larita Wright of Green Cove Springs; sister, Ellen Davis of Cleveland, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George Park and Gene Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
