LEONARD WIGGINS


LEONARD MAX WIGGINS Max Wiggins, 76, of Vero Beach, Florida died April 22, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Max was born in High Shoals, North Carolina and moved to Vero Beach in 1965 from Cleveland, Tennessee. He worked as an agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Co. in Vero Beach for 35 years. Max was a member of the Twentieth Avenue Church of God where he served the church in many capacities including building a mission church in Venezuela. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Juanita Wiggins of Vero Beach, daughters Ronda (James) Thomas of Vero Beach and Robin (Douglas) Wieckhorst of Winter Springs, Florida, grandchildren Andria Thomas of Cleveland, Tennessee and Justin and Jenna Wieckhorst of Winter Springs, Florida and a sister Martha (Ron) Knoblauch of Orange Park. Max was preceded in death by his eight siblings. Memorial contributions may be made to the Twentieth Avenue Christian Learning Center, 775 20th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32962. SERVICES: The family will receive friends 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Twentieth Avenue Church of God in Vero Beach and his Life Celebration Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastors Jerry Shepherd and Jim Foxworth officiating. Mr. Wiggins will be transferred to the Macon Funeral Home in Franklin, North Carolina for final services and interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
