ROBERT JOSEPH "Bob" SEWARD


ROBERT JOSEPH SEWARD "Bob" Seward loving husband to Mary Ellen, fond father to Todd and Greg and proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Allison and Cameron went to be with the Lord April 4, 2013. Born in New Jersey, he served in the U. S. Army 1952-1954, and then graduated from the University of Kentucky. Half his working career he spent with the Exxon Corp. which included 4 fascinating years in Rio de Janeiro. Then he worked for Witco Chemical Corp. in Houston, New York City and Greenwich, CT. On retirement he and Mary Ellen moved to Fair Oaks Ranch, TX where Bob enjoyed golf, cruises and constructing sets for plays at the Boerne Community Theatre. The last move was to Vero Beach, FL so as to participate in the Arts and Theatre scene, and to take advantage of living near the ocean. He and Mary Ellen joined Christ by the Sea Methodist Church. Bob leaves his wife of 58 years, Mary Ellen, sons Todd and Greg; daughter-in-law, Lisa; granddaughter Allison and grandson, Cameron. He also leaves sister-in-law Jean and eleven nieces and nephews, plus dear friends, Buddy and Margie Segal and Jim and Betty Lou Geis, but we all know Bob is in a "better place" now. A small memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM, Sunday April 28, 2013 at Christ by The Sea United Methodist Church, Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers send donations to his church or VNA Hospice.
