RUSSELL HART


RUSSELL LOUIS HART Russell Louis Hart,78, of Stuart, Florida died August 29, 2013 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in St. Louis,
Missouri on May 3, 1935. He was raised in Miami, Florida. He entered the U.S. Navy at age 18, where he was stationed in Hawaii and Kodiak, Alaska. Upon discharge he was employed by the United States Postal Service in Miami, Florida. He relocated to the Florida Keys where he worked for United Parcel Service, serving Marathon and the Lower Keys. He became a volunteer fireman and he worked for the auxiliary police. He helped train dolphins at Santini's Flipper Sea School on Grassy Key. This is where he joined a softball team. Upon returning to the mainland in the late 1970s, he resided in Stuart, where he worked for Martin County Schools as a Warehouse Expediter. He was also employed by Armellini's Express Line as a Long Distance Driver until retirement. He was a coach for Miss America softball team and was an Assistant Girl Scout Leader. He assisted at South Fork High School football games working the chains. He helped out with The White Dove Society every year during the holidays. He was a loving, caring, and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife, Diane of 52 years; daughters, Heather Granello, Hope Wetherell; son- in-law, Victor Granello; grandson, Ronald Dakin; granddaughter, Laura Marie Granello; and sister, Nancy Lee Sandelier. A Committal Service with Military Honors will take place, Wednesday September 11, 2013 at 11:30 AM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S. East Indian Street Stuart, Florida 34997.
