SALLY WADDELL MCKEAGUE went home to God on February 9, 2014. A long time resident of Old Port Cove, North Palm Beach and Willoughby in Stuart, Sally lived her last years in Brenity at Tradition, Port St. Lucie. She Was predeceased in December 2010 by her husband, Robert McKeague, the love of her long life. Both Sally and Bob were well known in golf and tennis circles in Palm Beach and Martin County. Sally was a championship amateur golfer even into her very senior years. Sally graduated from Duke University in 1948 where she met Bob. Sally was a gifted singer who sang with the "Duke Ambassadors" and went on to sing professionally for some time. During Bob's'career years at Hercules- Dupont, they lived in Wilmington, Delaware where Sally was both a fashion model and docent for Henry Francis Dupont Winterthur Museum. Mrs. McKeague is survived by a daughter Chris McKeague and three generations of devoted nieces and nephews. Over the years in Florida, Sally collected many friends who treasured her company and will sorely miss her companionship. A Memorial Service will be held at Aycock Funeral Home on March 1, at 2:00PM: Reverend David Francoeur of Treasure Coast Hospice presiding. A light reception will follow at The Brenity in Tradition.
