JEANNE B. STONE Jeanne B. Stone, age 87 of Vero Beach, Florida, passed peacefully on 08/25/13 in Vero Beach Florida. She was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 8, 1925 and moved to Vero Beach, Florida from Madison and Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1988. She was a member of The First Congregational Church of Madison, Connecticut. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Dr. Walter E. Stone Jr., Vero Beach, Florida, sons Walter E. III (Marcia) Madison, Connecticut, Arthur E. (Sheila) Melbourne, Florida, David B. (Wanda) Bayville, New Jersey, Geoffrey (Kathy) Westbrook, Connecticut and daughter Sandra J. Ameele (Gary) Punta Gorda, Florida. Grandchildren Geoffrey A. Stone, Melbourne, Florida, Jennifer Stone (Jerry), Palm Bay, Florida, Shannon Stone, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Cortney Rickle (Clayton) Brick, New Jersey, Sarah Lugo (Tony), North Haven, Connecticut, Rebecca Stone, Madison Connecticut, Katherine Barnes, Petaluma, California and Peter Barnes (Sarah), Davis, California. Great grandchildren, Alexys and Jerry Carion, Palm Bay, Florida and Clayton David and Connor Jean Rickle, Brick, New Jersey. In Connecticut, she worked in Christian Education at the First Congregational Church of Madison for 10 years and as an Administrative Assistant at Yale University School of Management for 10 years until her retirement in 1990. In Vero Beach, Florida from 1993 to 1996, she was Secretary and Vice President of the Board of Directors at Vista Royale Association, Inc. and from 2002 to 2005 was again on the Board of Directors at Vista Royale Association, Inc., and was President of the Board for the last 2 years of her term. She also served on many committees both in Vero Beach, Florida and Connecticut. A memorial service (to be announced) will be held in Madison, Connecticut, followed by a burial in the Memorial Garden of the First Congregational Church, Madison, Connecticut.
