 PATRICK THOMAS FLYNN January 12, 1946 - January 1, 2012 Patrick Thomas Flynn, 65 years old of Sebastian, Fl, formerly of Marathon, FL passed away on January 1, 2012 at the Sebastian River Medical Center. Patrick was born on January 12, 1946 to Brigid and David Flynn in the Bronx, New York. He grew up in St. Simon Stock Parish and graduated from Good Shepherd Elementary School in Inwood, Manhattan. He graduated from La Salle Academy High School and continued his education at Manhattan College where he graduated in 1967. Following graduation, Patrick worked at Lincoln Hall, a residential facility for troubled boys run by the Christian Brothers in Lincolndale, NY before joining the FBI as a Special Agent in 1971. During his tenure at the FBI, Patrick was assigned in Minnesota, California and Miami where he retired after 25 years of service in 1996. Following his retirement, Patrick and his wife Rosa, moved to the Florida Keys where he worked as a private investigator for many years. In 2002, they relocated to Sebastian, FL, where Patrick enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. Patrick, who was affectionately called "Big Daddy" by his wife, touched the lives and hearts of many people always smiling, helping and looking at the bright side of life. Patrick's life was a moving testimony of his tremendous love and devotion for his wife, family and friends. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Rosa, and his siblings: Christian Brother Gregory Flynn of Ethiopia, David Flynn of County Cork, Ireland, Kathleen Donnelly of Wanaque, NJ, William Flynn of Emerald Isle, NC, Dr. Mary Flynn-Maguire of Ridgefield, CT and Ann Flynn of Warwick, RI along with many nieces, nephews and in- laws. He also leaves behind his loving and adored dogs, Tinker, Buffett and Patsy. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon at St. Helen Catholic Church located at 2000 20th Street in Vero Beach, FL (Tel. No. 772-567-5129). Following the mass, a celebration of Patrick's life will be held at Squid Lips in Sebastian, FL from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
