ALETHEA KUNHARDT WALKER Alethea "Thea" Kunhardt Walker, 84, passed away as she lived her life, peacefully and with grace, on May 4, 2012, at her home, attended by her daughter and granddaughter. Born to Kingsley and Marion Kunhardt in New York City on November 15, 1927, Thea developed passions for the needle arts and world travel at an early age. Thea attended The Greenwich Academy and Westover School, becoming a devoted alumna and trustee of Westover School. A true world traveler, Thea visited 120 countries and always claimed her favorite trip was trekking with elephants in Thailand. Thea was a master needle artist and member of the Embroiderer's Guild of America. She handed down her skills in sewing, knitting and needlepoint to her children and grandchildren, including her sons.
