Andrea L. Schlachter, 46, died March 9, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce. She was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and lived in Port St. Lucie for seven years, moving from Jupiter Farms. She was a technician for Florida Vision for more than 10 years in the South Florida area. She was of the Christian faith. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, James Schlachter of Port St. Lucie; son, Christopher Beaton of Plantation; daughter, Kristina Beaton of Port St. Lucie; parents, Jon and Cheryl Steed of Port St. Lucie; brother, Jon Steed, Jr. of Chickamauga, Ga.; sister, Paula Luetgens of Pompano Beach; paternal grandmother, Ella Steed of Conroe, Texas; maternal grandmother, Eugenia Ferguson of Port St. Lucie; and one grandson.
