Anna Schiavo Obituary

Anna Oliva Schiavo, 96, of Jupiter, died, Wednesday, May 25. Born in White Plains, she graduated from White Plains High School in 1933. She married John V. Schiavo in 1937. She and her husband, John V. Schiavo, whom she married in 1937, raised their three children in White Plains until moving to Fairfield, Conn., in 1963. Anna lived in Fairfield until she moved to Jupiter in 1995. Survivors include daughter and son, Diana Stollman and John Schiavo both of Jupiter and two sons-in-law, Louis Stollman of Jupiter and Ronald Karg of N.J.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; her brother Fred Oliva and was predeceased by siblings Joseph Oliva, Gilda Piazza, Esther Gervasi and Carmelita Grieco. She is predeceased by her husband, John, who died in 1965, and her daughter Jeannette Karg. She was an avid child caregiver, world traveler, cook and gardener. She enjoyed swimming, yoga, card playing, theater, movies and conversation. The funeral mass and interment will be in White Plains on Friday, June 3. The family requests donations be made in her name toAlzheimer's Community Care, 800 Northpoint Pkwy, West Palm Beach, FL.33407 or online at Alzcare.org. Arrangements were by Edgley Cremation Services of West Palm Beach.
