Anthony Luongo

Anthony F. Luongo, 82, died June 11, 2011, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Stuart for 19 years, coming from Bohemia, N.Y. He was a National Guard veteran. Before retirement, he was an installer for Tony's Floor Covering for 48 years and the head of setup and maintenance for Pinelake Gardens in Stuart for 18 years. He was the president of Islip 300 Gun Club, Bohemia Paddleball Club and Palm City Paddleball Club and a member of Pinelake Gardens Homeowners Association in Stuart. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marion Luongo of Stuart; son, Anthony F. Luongo Jr. of Bayshore, N.Y.; brothers, Patrick Luongo of Farmingdale, N.Y., and Ralph Luongo of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; and sisters, Ann Sozzo of Tappan, N.Y., and Carmela Luongo of West Islip, N.Y.
