Bernice Denault Obituary

Bernice Mary Denault, 82, died June 1, 2011, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Reddick, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Kankakee, Ill., and Key Largo. She worked as a telephone operator at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 25 years and also worked for Publix Supermarkets in Vero Beach for more than 20 years. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Kankakee. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church of Vero Beach. Survivors include her sons, Michael Denault of Key Largo and Steven Denault of Libertyville, Ill.; daughter, Kathleen Denault Prouty of Vero Beach; sisters, Victoria Sowards of Dallas, Delores Traynor of Vero Beach and Doreen Lothamer of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Donald Beland of Ely, Minn., Gerald Beland of Peoria, Ariz., Roger Beland of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Ronald Beland of Titusville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reynold F. Denault. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. June 5 with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass will be celebrated at noon June 6 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
