Bertha J. Meservey

Bertha J. Meservey, 94, died May 9, 2011. She was born in Pompey Hill, N.Y., and lived in the Albany, N.Y., area, coming from Port St. Lucie. She was a graduate of Columbia University School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for many years at the Albany County Nursing Home. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Ward of Port St. Lucie and Gail Craig of Fort Pierce; son, Fred Meservey of Voorheesville, N.Y.; sister, Helen Cross of Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bruce Meservey; sisters, Doris Shearer and Alice Davenport; and brother, Howard Bronson.
