Billy Ray Howard, 76, died April 5, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Glenco, Ala., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 33 years. He was an Air Force veteran. He was retired from Indian River State College and the Millwright Union. He was a member of Grace Family Church in Port St. Lucie and was actively involved in the Prime Timers. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lorraine Howard; daughters, Belinda Shiflett of Plant City, Kimberly Dierikx of Riverview, Diane Broder of Port St. Lucie and Lori Pereira of Fort Pierce; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Howard. Services: A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. April 13 at Grace Family Church in Port St. Lucie. Arrangements are by National Cremation and Burial Society, Lake Worth.
