Carol Helene Reich, 89, died Dec. 9, 2012, at Martin Hospital South. She was born in Passaic, N.J., and lived in Stuart as a winter resident for 27 years, coming from Chincoteague Island, Va. She was a lab technician and retired from Patterson General Hospital in Paterson, N.J. She was a member of the Dutch Reform Faith. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Douglas College at Rutgers University. She was a member of the Bridge Club in Stuart, Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and a member of Mariner Sands Country Club. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, George W. Reich Jr. of Stuart; daughters, Ellen Andrea Langford of Wytheville, Va., and Alison J. Reich Wiederhorn of Hallowell, Maine; son, George W. Reich III of Dover, N.H.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Murray. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice Inc., 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Services: Services will be private.
