David Gordon Evans

David Gordon Evans, 87, died June 1, 2011, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce. He was born in Detroit, and lived in Port St. Lucie since the 1950s, coming from Detroit. He spent his career as an entomologist. He attended Rollins College in Orlando. He was a veteran, serving in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy Evans; daughter, Cheryl Groothouse of Palm City; son, Philip Scott Evans of Port St. Lucie; brother, Frank Evans of Fort Pierce; and one grandchild.
