Florence T. Kane, 89, died March 14, 2013, at her home. She was born in New York City and lived in Hobe Sound for 20 years, coming from Breezy Point, N.Y. Prior to retirement, she was a bank teller with Manufacturers Hanover Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Meyer of Hobe Sound; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Kane. Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Services: Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 18 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel, Stuart. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. March 18 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound. Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta.
